June 26, 2003 - Dune Pools, Caldera
Island Here I am, not even a week old on THERE, and already striking a
pose in my latest purchase. Notice all the little yellow arrows? See? I
told you I was a n00b. I didn't even know how to turn those things off yet.
And see all those funny little glowing circles around me? That's not
sunbeams. That's my new necklace. Bling bling! |

June 26, 2003 - Crater Tower 6, Caldera
Island There's no shortage of buggy styles to choose from on THERE.
But there's nothing quite cooler than having a buggy.. that matches your outfit!
(Special thanks to Cat for this cool ensemble.) |

June 27, 2003 - Monkey Pools, Caldera
Island By far, this is one of my favorite spots on THERE... the Monkey
Pools, deep in the forest near Monkey Crater. Doesn't this just look so
serene? And the water's juuusst riiight. Oh, and hey, this time it's not my
necklace that's shimmering. It's the waterfall behind me. (p.s.- I'll show you more
pictures of this spot in the "Sites & Sights"
section.) |

June 28, 2003 - A Skypad, Cangrejo
Island I was hoverboarding along the beach one day when I looked up and
saw this large 'thing' in the sky.. suspended in mid-air, made out of ramps! Little
did I know that this would be my first introduction to skypads. These temporary
spots can only be reached by hoverpack (or hoverboat), or by some extremely precision
buggy/hoverboard hurling from ramps below. (Isn't this an awesome view?) |

June 28, 2003 - 30,000 feet above Nene
Volcano, Caldera Island While hanging out on the skypad, I met a nice
fella named Bearclaw. After discovering that I was a n00b, he offered to introduce
me to the joys of skydiving on THERE. Here I am, falling (and falling and falling)
from high in the sky over Nene Volcano. No parachute. No safety net.
Just me and gravity and the sounds of my shrieks to keep me company. |
 |
June 28, 2003 - A 10 Point Landing, Nene
Volacano, Caldera Island Oh look, my first skydive landing. I
really nailed it, doncha think? You can't tell, but I'm sliding about 40 mph down
the mountain. But I'm so good, when I get up, there's not a single scratch, mar, or
protuding bone. Why, I don't even have to dust off. Our avatars on THERE are
not only attractive and realistic, they're downright durable. |
